——Resilience, Smart Technology, Low Carbon and Sustainable Development,” the seminar will focus on sustainable development in tunnel engineering, exploring the digitization and intelligent transformation of tunnels and underground works, and envisioning an era of low-carbon and intelligent technologies.

This event is expected to attract approximately 1,500 participants, including 200 international guests, and features a 5,000-square-meter exhibition space.

Chongqing, renowned as the “City of Tunnels” due to its complex geological conditions and innovative engineering techniques, boasts over 200 tunnels, including 22 exceeding 3 kilometers. The seminar will organize technical visits to iconic projects, such as:

·    Zengjiayan Bridge Tunnel: This project traverses Chongqing's Yuzhong Peninsula, integrating bridge and tunnel structures and equipped with intelligent systems like inspection robots and adaptive ventilation systems.

·    CMCT Test Platforms: As the core base of the National Engineering Research Center of Road Tunnel in China, this platform represents the most advanced, large-scale, and multifunctional comprehensive testing site for highway tunnels in the country.                                                         

·    Yanglushan Tunnel: A 6.2-kilometer-long mega-tunnel with dual tunnel joint smoke exhaust systems, overcoming challenges of complex geological conditions and marking a milestone in Chongqing's tunnel construction history.
